Excited by the possibilities of doing something that neither he, or anyone else, had never done, Leonelli welcomed the challenge of the oncoming Iowa winter, hoping to turn it to his advantage. He intended to transform and celebrate this river site, using ice and argon gas, when the river and the community around it normally hibernated.
